I'm so excited this is finally open!!!
The Fresh Market, a North Carolina-based chain of upscale groceries founded in 1982 that now has 119 locations, will open its St. Charles Avenue location at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the former Bultman funeral home that was a Borders book store for several years after Hurricane Katrina.

The produce section features 400 fresh fruits and vegetables with signs that mark “local” items from within 100 miles, and “regional” items from within 300 miles.
The have a wonderful deli and bakery section.
And of course Gelato!!! Can't wait to head back soon.
