Medieval Festival: Manhattan's Fort Tryon Park is transformed into a medieval market town decorated with bright banners and processional flags. Performers, guests and festival goers dress in medieval costume. Visitors are greeted by authentic medieval music, dance, magic, and minstrels, as well as jugglers and jesters.
After the festival, we visited The Frick Collection: includes some of the best-known paintings by the greatest European artists, major works of sculpture (among them one of the finest groups of small bronzes in the world), superb eighteenth-century French furniture and porcelains, Limoges enamels, Oriental rugs, and other works of remarkable quality. (Sorry, no pics!)
Afterwards, we went shopping . . .
SNAP Food Truck: All their food is prepared fresh and cooked to order, they also use only local products and all condiments are house-made. I got the Avocado-chic hot-dog (Panko crusted Hass avocado wedge, deep fried and served with fresh chipotle mayo/mustard and Chicago-style fixings) Yum!!!
Artists & Fleas Artist, Designer & Vintage Market: a weekly Williamsburg Brooklyn indoor market where emerging and independent artists, designers, vintage collectors and DIY'ers can showcase their wares, set up shop and meet their market. It’s a unique destination where consumers can interact and buy directly from the source.
The Flea: hundreds of top vendors of antique and re-purposed furniture, vintage clothing, collectibles and antiques, as well as a tightly curated selection of jewelry, art, and crafts by local artisans and designers, plus delicious fresh food.
You may know the sister d.b.a. bar in New Orleans : get away from the tourist traps of Bourbon Street and head down to the "Marigny", just downriver from the French Quarter, voted w/ Williamsburg, Brooklyn and the Inner Mission in San Francisco as one of the hippest neighborhoods in the country.
