Christmas Survey

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Paper. I have a somewhat odd attitude that the gifts get wrapped as close to perfect as I can make them. Plus, the paper all has to match. Can't have one gift different from the rest. Yes.....anal, I know! LOL
2. Real tree or Artificial? Artificial. Real trees require WORK, such as regular watering and cleaning up of the needles. Please, not me!
3. When do you put up the tree? I try to enjoy the season as long as possible. So, the tree goes up the weekend after Thanksgiving or close to it.
4. When do you take the tree down? Sometime around March...just kidding! Usually mid-January, but this year I have this "universal" tree where I'm just gonna take the ornaments off and leave it where it is. Yup, that's right.
5. Do you like eggnog? NO! says the lady who loves White Russians but can't stand the eggy stuff. I mean, who wouldn't love anything made with liberal quantities of cream and booze...not me, unfortunately!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? There are so many! I was obsessed with unicorns growing up, but I remember this small pink glass one in particular.

7. Hardest person to buy for? My Father. There's only so much golf stuff you can get one person.
8. Easiest person to buy for? Mom. I try to listen in on the things she comments about getting but never gets around to purchasing herself.
9. Do you have a nativity scene? Nope, sure don't.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail. I was determined to stick with the old snail mail method this year. Plus, who doesn't love getting something OTHER THAN bills in the mail?
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Wire coat-hangers spray painted in gold. No joke! Oh, and I did get used deodorant one year, too. Yes, it's true. Sadly.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? The Christmas Story. Even though it's played to death 24 hour non-stop during Christmas - I love it!
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? When the mood sticks. This year I did a lot of early online shopping to avoid any last minute crowds. I'm glad to say...all my Christmas shopping was DONE by Dec. 1st
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
Not that I can recall.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? I HATE peppermint sticks, but LOVE LOVE LOVE peppermint ice cream. I adore the stuff and would eat it all year-round, if I could.
16. Lights on the tree? Of course. The brighter the better. I even have my tree set on a timer so it's on when I get home from work and turns off when I usually go to bed. Lovely!
17. Favorite Christmas song? What Child is This
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Awww...it use to be travel to hot summer places a few years back, but I guess it still is travel for me now since I'll be taking that 8 hour trip yet again soon to Shiner.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Honesty, yes. I played a Christmas game with my Japanese students NUMEROUS times and one of the questions was "How many reindeer does Santa have?" Well...I basically had to name off all the reindeer to count and it kind of stuck.
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Neither actually. My tree is full of black and purple balls this year and it has these black balls sticking out of the top. I know it's hard to imagine, but pics will be posted soon. Stay tune!
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? We use to open one on the eve, and the rest in the AM.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? The crowds.
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? I like the simplicity of white lights, but I find all trees nice. The "Creepy Santa" tree last year at my parents house was a hoot! My Mom's doing a "Who-ville" tree this year.
24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? We use to do fried catfish with all the fixings during Christmas since everyone was still worn out from Turkey. Lately, it's mostly buffet style with anything and everything. So...Nothing in particular stands out.
25. What do you want for Christmas? This is a trick questions. The good answer: World Peace The naughty answer: Money and lots of it.
26. Favorite thing about Christmas? All the photos of children frightened in Santa's lap. HA!
Happy Holidays Everyone!!!
