Hong Kong

I wanted to post pictures of Hong Kong Disneyland from yesterday, but I've only paid for 15min. internet access, so here's a clip-version of the day. Meet up with Grace the night before. Woke up early and went to Starbucks to get my newest obsession - Green Tea with Cream Took the subway to the Disney park around 11:00 Browse down Main Street USA Start off in Tomorrow Land - got speed-pass and jumped on the first ride with a 5 mins. wait we could find didn't knowing it was Space Mountain until the ride actual took off - fun way to start off the morning. Afterwards, made our way to Fantasy Land and rode the teacups and flying Dumbos. Saw this AMAZING 3-D Disney show which Grace and I sang along too the whole time. Walked into the NEW(temp.) Pirate Land as known as Fantasy Land to eat some YUMMY lunch of coconut chicken soup and so much more Took some lovely kissing pictures with Micky Moose and lots of shopping Rode the train around the park and saw another "broadway'ish" Disney show which was VERY good Walk through the park at night to admire Sleeping Beauty's castle all lite up and slowly left the park right before closing time at 8:30 LOVELY day, can't wait to post pics! Be home in two days!

Shanghai, baby!

Check out my room. Swanky! I like it! I thought I'd pamper myself a bit here since I'm almost done with the trip, plus this place cost less than a motel room would back in the states!
I like Shanghai. It reminds me of 1930's New York...sorta. Couple more days here and then off to Hong Kong and major shopping! Yayy!
Not the most flattering picture of me, but it'll do!

Terra Cotta Warriors - Xi'an, China

I'm glistening a little b/c the site was enclosed in a building with no open windows, hundreds of people, and it was mid-day. This was the closest people can get to the actual figures as well.
The real thing - this was the 3rd pit which is the biggest.
Fake - these are actually hundreds of miniatures in a store near the site.

I'm off to Shanghai in 2 days!

Gobi Desert, Mongolia

The view from our Ger Camp every afternoon.
After watching the classic Snow White dubbed in Mongolian, we named our camels after different dwarfs. Mine was named Happy!
View from during the trek. Nothing'ness for as far as the eye can see. It was lovely!
Top of the highest peak in the Gobi. Only men are allowed to climb to the top, so luckily we had a male tour guide and he was kind enough to take this shot for me.
